The Battle for Bell Tower
May 4: There is a territorial dispute going on over the Bell Tower nesting site. That's why there are no eggs yet. We thought it was E4 and Big Red getting settled last week, but that is uncertain with the current fight going on. Big Red has been making occasional appearances. Will E4 finally lose her rank as Edmonton's most powerful peregrine? Watch this space.

Manitoba

May 20: The mystery continues...still no word on the Bell Tower birds. Our sources have scoured every possible hiding spot on the Bell Tower, and they're definitely not there. It is possible that the birds are nesting on another building downtown, but no one has spotted them. It is also likely that E4 did not return this year. We'll keep you posted if we find out more.

Mystery solved!
June 12: Their hiding spot has finally been found! There is a pair of peregrines nesting downtown on the Telus building. No word on who they are. There are 3 chicks, but the nesting spot is not secure at all and very inaccessible. We will continue updating here as more information comes in.

Tiggy, the Peregrine Falcon, who is part of the Manitoba Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project has recovered! She was released this week, privately by the Project Team as she is a species at risk.
