We rescued her off the sidewalk and she's now at the vet for a quick check up to be sure she's ok. Oh Schatzi!

Slecht nieuws! Op facebook meld KathyQ
It is with tears as I type, but Schatzi's body has been recovered. I will post more later. I'm so sorry everyone. But we always must keep in mind that the mortality rate is high for these fledglings.

Wil is al weer een tijdje niet gezien , en het nieuwe mannetje is Sesenta, Bericht van Kathy Q op facebook.
Hold on to your hats...we think Will has been displaced. We caught a male bird in the box today with bands 36/R. This bird is the offspring of KathyQ and Kinney from 2012 and is named Sesenta - in honor of Kinney's 60th offspring. Yes, you read correctly. We know nothing more - whether Will is permanently displaced (or perhaps dead), whether Sesenta will hang around or just what will happen. And the bonding picture I posted yesterday was likely between KQ and Sesenta. This mother/son scenario has played out before. Falcon Crest has nothing on these guys. dus een zoon van KathyQ en Kinney!
